With A heavy heart I wept, crying out to the Lord.
Oh God please save me.
I can’t take any more stabs from the enemy’s sword.
I fall slowly too weak to fight back,
and still the devil does not stop, he continues to attack
my heart is heavy and my flesh is weak,
I hold on to my faith, your promise of protection is what I seek.
Just as I feel my eyes began to close,
Your power, rushes through me and then I ROSE.
All around me the enemy falls,
But not by my hands,
a shield of your angels block the path where I stand
with their hands stretched wide the enemy cowers
I fall to my knees thanking you for your grace, mercy and POWER.

Jacqueline Johnson, the second oldest in a family of six was born and raised in Oakland, California. Her unique personality and desire to encourage and help others in distress was the driving force to remain motivated. At the age of 18 Jacqueline began working a series of jobs and excelled even in the most unpleasant working environments always maintaining a positive attitude and doing her best. Because of her personality and positive people skills she was offered a job at UCLA where she is currently employed. She loves helping others especially those who are overlooked. She has the ability to see their hidden strengths, talents and potential. Her recent work, Under His Covering: The Blooming Of Faith is the first in a series of other books. Her books and poetry are a way to reach out to those who sometimes feel like there is no hope and to encourage those going through difficult situations and hard times. Faith in God , resiliency, hope and overcoming is the theme of her works. Jacqueline promises to captivate her readers while uplifting, inspiring and empowering people of all ages, races and backgrounds.
